Accomplishments

Here are some of my accomplishments throughout the last two years.

  • Emergency Portfolio: ensured generators per each unit for emergency use only

  • Emergency Portfolio: Surveillance security cameras for elders units 44 to date installed

  • Emergency Portfolio: Elders traditional medicines

  • Emergency Portfolio: Food Security Elders Annual Hunt

  • Emergency Portfolio: Coordinated Immediate emergency response team ensured patrol at request of Elders after major incident. Currently working on emergency plan to include urban members ex; severe weather, pandemics, people missing etc

  • Education Portfolio: Advocated for pay increase for WBFN bus drivers.

  • Education Portfolio: Advocated & implemented parent gas for students attending Carlyle school in absence of buses Sept-June 2024 & Jan-June 2025

  • Finance Portfolio: Advocated and presented to Chief and Council posting & job description for the need of a sports & rec coordinator, winter games coordinator & CFS first nations rep.

  • Finance Portfolio: Advocated for a WBFN cell phone App approved pending WBFN Info to the app AVIA

  • Language & Culture Portfolio : As SICC board member advocated for our own band members fluent nehiyaw & nakota,’ to speak at Language Keepers Conference 2024-2025

  • Language & Culture: 4 land based traditional healing cultural camps 23-24-25 , hunt & hide youth camp 2024,’ medicine walks 2023-2024, Elders Hunt 2023-24-25,

  • Language & Culture Portfolio: Proposal driven Level 1 & 2 Traditional Life Skills Completed levels 3 & 4 Pending, was asked if can be provided in urban areas

  • Other: Advocated 4 Ball diamonds 2022/23 to date ready to be installed need area phots attached

  • Other: Advocated outdoor arena for youth at risk up 90% completion phase 2 basketball court inside the arena(east end o reserve)

  • Other: Advocated and ensured exhibition passes & Christmas incentives for surrounding communities & major cities

  • Other: Advocated and ensured Annual Aboriginal day, MMIW Walk supported and takes place,

  • Other: Advocate to bring in Elite Training for youth in area of Softball & Hockey

  • Other: Coached for Winter & Summer Games, FSIN youth championships24-25
