My Platform

    • The process has already been started in 2020 and prior under Chief Standingready, the paperwork is ready however it has not been revisited as a team or updated. A package was presetend in 2024 by Councilor Clarence Nokahoot but has not yet been reviewed or updated.

    • 2025-2026 - Get started immeidately by posting for an Election Act Committee and update for presentation at first quarter band meeting. Updated Draft to be completed by 2025 and presented to membership by fourth quarter membership meeting.

    • Increase the Council from 6 to 8 by next term as decided by membership.

    • Political advisory group to the Chief consistenting of past White Bear Politicians.

  • To restart the process of the land use plan

    • post for a committee to work on a present to membership for ratification

    • this will prevent trespassing, lately we have been having strangers entering our lands uninvited, including over cutting of our trees such as the birch

    • need to identify areas for recreational use, sub divisions, new housing, etc

  • Communication education, awareness workshops for our youth and membership, ie: Section 25 of the Charter, primary purpose safeguard indigenous rights & freedoms by preventing the charter from being used to undermine or exteinguish them

    cultural preservation

    ongoing negotiations

do whatever it takes to ensure these rights are recognized and implemented accordingly

legal and judicial advocacy; partner with other organizations specializing in indigenous rights

WE MUST DO EVERYTHING WE CAN TO PROTECT WHITE BEAR TO ENSURE OUR CHILDRENS GREAT GRANDCHILDREN CAN ENJOY WHITE BEAR IN 150 YEARS!

  • To strengthen the health department, revamp health

    • health committee as per former health director’s ongoing recommendations

    • add addictions counselors and assistant

    • ensure follow up support for those coming out of treatment

    • trauma release workshops and awareness

    • therapeutic traditional healing

    • land based healing center

    • annual healing gathering with horse dance, ghost dance, chicken dance, nightlodges, sweat lodge, etc.

  • Band meetings to be agreed on and set by membership meaning 2 or 4 per year.

    • in my observation i had noticed at the 2 band meetings members were not able to put a vote to the floor, it seemed like information only and this should not be. We also need a general recorder to draft and provide the scripts to band members who were unable to make the meetings

    • We need to separate the engagements from the band meetings as it creates confusion.

    • All consultants to provide reports & financncial fees as updates that Chief & Council shall present to membership.

  • Treaty Land Entitlement and Specific Land Claims inclusion quarterly updates to membership.

    • All claims need to be focussed on and quarterly updates need to be provided to membership to eliminate the speculation of offers being made, etc.

    • A calendar to be provided to membership in regards to all meetings it should not be on a need to know basis.

    • All other lawyers updates need to be provided including expenses to membership: W Law, Semaganis & Worm, Brabant & Company, etc
